Type locality Syntypes from two localities: a) Taboga Island, from floats of the stage at the end of the hotel pier (presumably the now gone Hotel Aspinwall, which had a floating wharf), Panama, Pacific Ocean (gazetteer estimate 8.7922°, -79.5512°); b) south side of Tagus Cove, Albemarle Island (= Isla Isabela), Galápagos Islands, Ecuador, Pacific Ocean (gazetteer estimate -0.2645°, -91.3705°).
