The polychaetous collected Ьу r/v «Dmitry Mendeleev» in the trenches Macquarie and Нjort (3010-6240 m) is studied. 27 species of Polychaeta discovered belong to 25 genera аnd 2 families. Two new species are described. The bathymetrical and geographical distпbution of the polychaetous inhabited these trenches is discussed. The great number of the species in the fauna of the trenches explored are wide-spread in the abyssal depths. This shows the deep relatioпs of their fauna with that of the abyssal depths of the World Ocean.
