Publication | | Abstract | A new species of ascidian, Didemnum rodriguesi, is described from the intertidal area of southern Brazil and from the southern lagoon of New Caledonia (SW Pacific). This red didemnid forms large but thin encrusting colonies on varied substrates. It is well characterized by the fine structure of the colony surface and by its larvae. Its geographical distribution is discussed. |
