Examination of a collection at the Zoological Institute, Leningrad (USSR), of higher Monogenea from marine fish in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Australia, disclosed 2 new forms, which are described here. Lutianicola vittae sp. nov. (4 specimens), from the gills of one Lutianus vitta, differs from Lutianicola haifonensis chiefly by the structure details of the armature of the copulatory apparatus: the copulatory organ has the shape of a chitinized cone at the end of which opens the ejaculatory duct and the first pair of hooks have a branched, spreading tip. Lutianicotyle indica gen. nov., sp. nov. (30 specimens) from the gills of Lutianus malabaricus and L. sanguineus is similar to Lutianicola in the general structure of the copulatory apparatus but is characterized by the ejaculatory duct, which is composed of a thin tube practically without surrounding muscle tissue and the eggs have only anterior filaments by which they become entwined into a cluster.
