The name is used as a noun in apposition and the species is named after the author’s wife, Dr Roberta Griffiths, who has waited many years, and long after both our children, to have a species named after her! The right species has finally come along though, as both amphipods and kelp beds played important roles in our working lives together as marine biologists.
