Diagnosis Test elongate, subconical, rounded to oval in section, short early triserial stage, then biserial and finally uniserial, with closely appressed subcylindrical chambers that may appear nodose, terminal face convex, sutures straight and horizontal, deeply constricted; wall calcareous, surface nodose or ornamented with very fine irregular to anastomosing longitudinal ribs; aperture a long narrow slit in the center of the terminal face, with one margin slightly elevated and the other depressed, provided with a broad internal hemicylindrical toothplate.
