Diagnosis Test small, up to 0.4 mm in length, single chambered, elongate ovate, base broadly rounded, opposite end slightly tapered to the aperture; wall calcareous, of two layers, a thin, finely granular inner layer and a thick, friable, light gray outer layer that appears coarsely perforate; narrow aperture at the tapered end of the test.
